MOVIE GRAPHS!

The link above will take you to my latest find in Digital Art, Narrative Movie Charts!

Even though the art wasn't created through digital means, the dude that created XKCD takes his hand-drawn comics and digitalizes them (AKA Scanner) and distributes through via digital methods. The site has a large collection of these very intelligent comics, all of which can be ordered in print or t-shirts. IF you're up for some procrastination with some intellectual stimulus, I invite you to click through the site. But let me forewarn you, it can get addicting.

FUN FACT!
The title "xkcd" was chosen because the word has no phonetic pronunciation. Why? Who knows, the creator used to work on robots for NASA.

May The Force Be With You...

I'm embracing my inner nerd with this one. The Star Wars Lightsaber Application!

Okay, so I know it's not the most cutting edge application and it's fairly dated (the original version launched back on the iPhone 1 in 2008), but you cannot tell me that waving the your smartphone around in the air while making the infamous "vrrrrrroooom" hum IS NOT COOL!

The app is also customizable giving you the power to choose the hilt and color of your lightsaber

But the most impressive feature of phonesaber is the ability to lock sabers in a dual with a fellow friend (or nemesis). When the phones are "locked" the sounds of the action are played. Just like a real Jedi/Sith!

If you still have your doubts, go download it and try it out for yourself, its free for the iPhone and most smartphones.

Really Cool New Tech Gagets You Should Know About! Part 1

I read about this gaget a little over a week ago in 2011's march edition of men's health magazine. This product from taiwannese company Acer, is a revoultionary new product to enhance the pc experience, completely through touching.

Introducing ICONIA, the world's first dual-screen touch computer.

ICONIA functions completely through touch manipulation only. Acer has developed a  simple navigation touch system to utilize the PC with ease. And for when you prefer the old-fashioned input method of typing, the bottom screen can turn into a touch keyboard.

One cool feature of the Iconia is the "socialjogger." The program allows you to be logged on to multiple social media accounts with giving you the power to view and manipulate them simultaneously.

There's an App for everything

There's been alot of commotion surround mobile smartphone applications. Phones like the iphone, galaxy, and droid have thousands of downloadable applications at their disposal (usually for a fee). This one is just outrageous. iGrill.

The iGrill is a device you plug into your iphone, ipod touch, or ipad that monitors the temperature of what your cooking. It can even measure two different items simultaneously. The tempatures are displayed on the decive's screen. Check out more info here: iGrill

The Singularity is Near!

Time magazine published a huge article last week on the topic of singularity, which, in my opinion, will become a major academic topic in the upcoming decades.

Singularity is a term used in astrophysics to describe a point in space time in which the laws of physics do not apply (think inside of a black hole). In technology, singularity refers to the the point in which the growth of technology is so rapid that it impossible to predict the future. Many futurists (yes, that's actually a profession) have elaborated on this forthcoming phenomenon. In the article, futurist Raymond Kurzweil has predicted that in 2045 the quantity of all artificial intelligence will be about a billion times more than the sum of all human intelligence. Philosophize on that for a moment.
